Privacy Policy


This privacy policy must be read together with the terms and conditions of InsightSec, which can be found at: http://www.foresight-security.co.za/terms-of-use, and such terms and conditions shall apply mutatis mutandis to this privacy policy.


“InsightSec”“we““our” and “us” refers to InsightSec (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2018 / 256028 / 07, a private company duly incorporated in accordance with the company laws of the Republic of South Africa, with its registered office at Pendoring Office Park 299, Pendoring Road, Blackheath, Randburg, Gauteng, 2195.

“Services” means services for managing data, displaying data and distributing data, and tools provided by InsightSec through the Web Application, Web application and/or Mobile Application and/or Control Room Application (or via any other electronic or other communication from InsightSec).

“Web Application and/or Mobile Application” means the Web Application known as Foresight Web App and the mobile application known as the Foresight Mobile application.

“you”“your” and “user” refers to the user of the Web Application and/or Mobile Application and/or the Services made available through it.


InsightSec is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy applies to the Web Application and Mobile Application and governs data collection, storage, usage and sharing of data acquired as a result of your use of the Web Application, Web Application and/or Mobile Application and/or the Services made available through it.


By browsing, accessing or using the Web Application and/or Mobile Application or by using any Services made available through it, you accordingly acknowledge that you have read through and sufficiently understood the nature, risks, benefits and implications pertaining to the data practices contained in this privacy policy and which may be updated from time to time.

You shall be responsible for reviewing this privacy policy from time to time to ensure that you are updated on the privacy policy should it be amended.


InsightSec collects and stores personally identifiable information about you, such as your full names, username, password, contact details, Physical Address and e-mail address. We also collect information regarding the company you are associated with such as the name, registration number, VAT number, physical address, and postal address.

We also automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software such as your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, the pages that you access while on the Web Application and/or Mobile Application and referring Web Application addresses. This information is used for the operation and improvement of the Services, to make the Web Application and Mobile Application user-friendly and to provide general statistics regarding the use of the Web Application and Mobile Application.


InsightSec collects and uses your personal information for the operation of the Web application and/or Mobile Application and to provide you with the Services you request or require. InsightSec also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you about other related services that you may be interested in which are available from InsightSec and its affiliates. InsightSec may also contact you for statistical and marketing purposes.

InsightSec does not share or sell personal information to third parties. InsightSec may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of an external partner about a service that may be of interest to you, in which case your personally identifiable information will not be transferred to the third party. InsightSec may share data with companies within its group for statistical purposes or to enable it to provide customer support. Such third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information and are prohibited from using your personal information for any other purpose other than to provide these services to InsightSec.

You have the right to request access to our personal information and/or have the right to correct and/or erase incorrect and/or inappropriate personal information.

InsightSec will disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so, in terms of applicable law or in the course of legal proceedings. We also reserve the right to pass your personal information to any legal authorities in any instance where we suspect that your activity is illegal or it violates our terms of services.


The Web Application and Mobile Application use cookies to deliver a more personalized online experience. Cookies are small text files which are stored on a user’s computer by a web page server. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. The purpose of a cookie is mainly to tell the web server that you have returned to the page. The cookie then helps InsightSec to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. Cookies also allow us to understand your preferences and to offer more relevant promotions. We also use cookies to collect statistics on the usage of the Services.

The cookie which is used on the Web Application and Mobile Application is the token and refresh token which contains the identity of the current user and the information as to whether the current user has been to the Web Application or Mobile Application before.

You can either accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers accept cookies by default, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies. If you choose to decline cookies on your browser, you may not be able to experience all of the interactive features on the Web Application and/or Mobile Application.


We generally retain personal data for so long as it may be relevant to the purposes identified herein. To dispose of personal data, we may anonymize it, delete it or take other appropriate steps. Data may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time.


InsightSec will use reasonable efforts to protect your personally identifiable information. Transmission of information over the internet is never totally secure, therefore we cannot be held liable or responsible if any of this information becomes disclosed to unauthorized third parties due to causes beyond our control.


Individuals in the European Economic Area, Canada, Costa Rica and some other jurisdictions outside the United States have certain legal rights to obtain confirmation of whether we hold personal data about them, to access personal data we hold about them (including, in some cases, in portable form), and to obtain its correction, update, amendment or deletion in appropriate circumstances.

They may also object to our uses or disclosures of personal data, to request a restriction on its processing, or withdraw any consent, though such actions typically will not have retroactive effect. They also will not affect our ability to continue processing data in lawful ways.

How can I access the personal data you have about me?

If you would like to submit a data access request, you can do so by contacting support@foresight-security.co.za. We will then start the process and provide you a link to access the personal data that InsightSec has on you within 30 days.

How do I correct, update, amend, or delete the personal data you have about me?

In addition to the functionality available through the “Settings” of the Services, in which you can correct, update, amend, or delete certain personal data, you can also request other modifications from us directly. Please write us at support@foresight-security.co.za with the words “Personal Data Request” in the subject or body of your message, along with an explanation of what data subject right you are seeking to exercise. For your protection, we may take steps to verify identity before responding to your request.

How do I object or restrict the manner in which InsightSec processes my personal data?

You have a right to ask us to stop using or limit our use of your personal data in certain circumstances—for example, if we have no lawful basis to keep using your data, or if you think your personal data is inaccurate.

Individuals in the European Economic Area have the right to opt out of all of our processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes.

The rights and options described above are subject to limitations and exceptions under applicable law. In addition to those rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. However, we encourage you to contact us first, and we will do our very best to resolve your concern.


We may need to change this privacy policy from time to time in order to address new issues and reflect changes on our Web Application and/or Mobile Application. Please refer back to this privacy policy periodically to be informed of how InsightSec is protecting your personal information.
